h-series

The paintings of this series depict different objects with round shapes. They can be shown as one installation or in groups of two and more paintings. Due to the selection of paintings the meanings, links or connotations between them shift in a semiotic game. As diptychs, triptychs or small groups, they can be composed to Vanitas motifs, puns, cosmic motifs or be combined by color or content related means.
This work is like the game Concentration but with more than one match to each card flipped. The titles, all beginning with the letter H, are associative, narrative, borrowed and personal.
