My Heart is not a Clock (running out) – work in progress

The multiple-part sculptures contain heating elements. During the run of the exhibition, a cast paraffin bird (respectively. egg) melts into the lower part of the sculpture that functions as an egg (bird) shaped mold to become an egg (bird) again and vice versa.
With every iteration some of the wax evaporates (entropy), so that in the end just fragments of birds (eggs) are cast and remelted until all the wax is gone - the cycle stops. Some of the sculptures are hanging and are just functioning one way i.e the bird becomes an egg and have a corresponding sculpture i.e the egg becomes a bird again, while other function like hour glasses and can be turned upside down to reverse the process.
