recent paintings 2023/2024

My paintings literally and metaphorically connect recurring motifs like butterflies, birds, shadows, and hands with strings, patterns, and words to create multiple figurative and linguistic layers of meaning through concepts such as simultaneity, mirroring, ambiguity or two-sidedness.
I do not depict real spaces or possible architectures in which narrative situations take place but develop abstract scenes that are both axiomatic and enigmatic, and allow different forms and elements to connect.
